It is still an especially lonely time in the world. It might feel normal now, but the world is still not the same as before COVID. If you were single before the lockdown, you are probably extremely single now so here are 5 tips from us at Henlo Lizard, a group of people who are either in long term relationships or haven’t been on a date in a while, on dating during the pandemic.
- Don’t build a new gaming pc. The moment you hit “place order” on an i7 9700k, Geforce RTX 2060, and liquid cooling with RGB lights on the fans, you basically surrendered any chance of getting a girlfriend. Just give it up, bro.
- Use your mask to your advantage. It shows to others that you are socially responsible and, if you’re kind of ugly you can at least cover it up and catfish in real life a little.
- Practice your social skills at home. It’s probably been a while since you’ve flirted with someone. Call your ex and let her know you still think about her after all this time to practice.
- Cough on other people and let them cough on you. What says “Hey, I trust you” like letting them cough on you during a pandemic? This is a great, new way of greeting someone that lets them know you have full trust in each other.
- Tell them you love them on the first date. This usually wouldn’t work but since people have been so deprived of romantic interaction I don’t see how this wouldn’t immediately get an “I love you too” back. High risk, high reward.
Hopefully you find some success with these tips when trying to get back into dating. Although I haven’t really tried these tips for myself so I can’t really tell you if they work, you should definitely give them a try.
